Driver Responsibility & Requirements

Requirements for Providing Omni Rides

OMNI is not a transportation carrier or taxi company. OMNI is a technology and marketing platform that helps Riders pre-schedule trips and, where available, request on-demand rides from independent Third-Party Providers. All transportation services are provided solely by these independent Third-Party Providers, not by OMNI.


By using OMNI as a Driver in Texas, you agree to operate as an independent business and to meet the responsibilities and requirements in this document.



1. DRIVER STANDARDS & QUALIFICATIONS


1.1 Basic Eligibility


Drivers must:


  • Be at least 21 years old.

  • Hold a valid Texas driver’s license.

  • Be legally authorized to work in the United States.

  • Pass any required background and driving record checks, where permitted by law.

  • Maintain accurate personal information, including contact details and banking information, in the OMNI Platform.



2. VEHICLE REQUIREMENTS


Your vehicle must:


  • Be properly registered in Texas and meet applicable safety inspection requirements.

  • Be in safe, clean, and passenger-ready condition (inside and out).

  • Have no major visible damage or conditions that may create safety concerns.

  • Meet any minimum year and body-style requirements specified by OMNI for particular service tiers (e.g., Standard, XL, Black, Black XL), as communicated in the Driver App or onboarding materials.


OMNI may require a vehicle inspection and may periodically request updated photos or documents.



3. INSURANCE & LICENSING


Drivers are fully responsible for:


  • Maintaining valid and sufficient auto insurance for their operations in Texas, including any coverage required for TNC, for-hire, or similar categories, if applicable.

  • Carrying proof of insurance and registration in the vehicle.

  • Complying with all Texas laws and any local regulations related to ground transportation.


OMNI does not provide or guarantee insurance. If your insurance lapses, you must cease using the OMNI Platform until coverage is reinstated and verified.



4. DOCUMENTATION & COMPLIANCE


Before you begin accepting trips, and on an ongoing basis, you must:


  • Upload legible copies of required documents (e.g., driver’s license, registration, insurance, inspection) into the OMNI Platform.

  • Update documents prior to expiration.

  • Notify OMNI promptly of any material changes (e.g., license suspension, major accident, insurance cancellation, updated vehicle).


OMNI may suspend or deactivate your account if required documents are missing, expired, or invalid.



5. PROFESSIONAL CONDUCT & SERVICE


As a Driver, you are expected to:


  • Drive safely and obey all traffic laws.

  • Treat Riders courteously and professionally.

  • Respect Rider privacy and keep personal information confidential, using it only as needed to complete trips.

  • Keep your vehicle free of strong odors (e.g., smoke) and maintain a reasonable cabin temperature.

  • Avoid harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate conduct.



6. USE OF THE OMNI PLATFORM


You agree to:


  • Use the Driver App and OMNI tools only for lawful purposes.

  • Not manipulate or falsify trip data, fares, or locations.

  • Not share your account with other individuals or allow unapproved drivers to operate under your profile.

  • Follow OMNI instructions related to app usage, trip management, and communications with Riders.



7. CANCELLATIONS & RELIABILITY


  • Avoid repeated cancellations or no-shows.

  • Only accept trips you are reasonably able to complete on time.

  • Communicate through the App when delays or issues arise (e.g., difficulty finding the Rider).


Repeated reliability issues may result in warnings, temporary suspension, or deactivation.



8. TAX & BUSINESS RESPONSIBILITIES


You are responsible for:


  • Treating your driving activities as an independent business, including any required business registrations.

  • Paying all applicable taxes on your earnings (income, self-employment, etc.).

  • Keeping records of trips and payouts as needed for tax and business purposes.


OMNI does not withhold taxes on your behalf.



9. DISCLAIMER


  • OMNI does not employ Drivers.

  • OMNI does not own vehicles or provide transportation services.

  • OMNI does not guarantee earnings, ride volume, or a minimum number of trips.


By driving on the OMNI Platform, you acknowledge that you are solely responsible for your operations, compliance, and conduct.

  2. Upload and verify your documents.

  3. Review OMNI’s Driver Terms of Service, Driver Participation Policy, and Code of Conduct.

Omni’s role is to offer technology tools and support to make your ride experience simple, fair, and transparent.
