How Omni Collects and Protects Your Data

Effective Date: 02/10/2025
Last Updated: 11/28/2025

OMNI is not a transportation carrier or taxi company. OMNI is a technology and marketing platform that helps Riders pre-schedule trips and, where available, request on-demand rides from independent third-party drivers and fleets (“Third-Party Providers”). All transportation services are provided solely by these independent Third-Party Providers, not by OMNI.

OMNI currently operates exclusively in select cities within the State of Texas (the “Service Area”). This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) explains how OMNI collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards your information when you interact with our Services in Texas and, where applicable, within the United States.

By accessing or using the OMNI Services, you expressly consent to the practices described in this Policy. If you disagree with any part, you must discontinue using the Services immediately.

1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

1.1 Personal Information You Provide

We may collect personal information voluntarily provided by you, including:

  • Identifiers: name, phone number, email address, mailing address.

  • Payment Information: credit/debit card number, billing address, and transaction history (processed securely by third-party payment processors).

  • Profile Information: profile photo, username, or other account details.

We collect this information:

  • Directly from you during registration, ride requests (pre-scheduled or on-demand), or support interactions.

  • For purposes including performing our contract with you, complying with legal obligations, and pursuing legitimate interests (such as fraud prevention and service improvement).

1.2 Automatically Collected Information

When you use OMNI Services, we automatically collect:

  • Device Data: IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers.

  • Usage Data: pages viewed, in-app activity, session duration, referral links.

  • Location Data (with consent): GPS or network-based data for pickups, navigation, trip records, and safety features.

We use this information for:

  • Security, fraud detection, and safety monitoring.

  • Service optimization, diagnostics, and troubleshooting.

  • Personalized marketing and service recommendations.

1.3 Information from Third Parties

We may receive additional information from:

  • Authentication Providers: such as Apple, Google, Facebook, or similar services you use to sign in.

  • Corporate or Institutional Partners: where rides are subsidized or linked to specific programs.

  • Payment Processors: billing validation, fraud alerts, and limited payment-related details.

2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

OMNI uses your information to:

  • Operate and improve our technology platform and connect Riders with independent Third-Party Providers.

  • Support hybrid operations in Texas (pre-scheduled and, where available, on-demand ride options).

  • Facilitate payments, send receipts, calculate per-trip fares, commissions, and applicable fees.

  • Provide customer support, handle complaints, and resolve disputes.

  • Personalize offers, promotions, and sponsored content.

  • Comply with applicable Texas and federal laws, including privacy, safety, and transportation-related requirements.

We may also use data for:

  • Analytics and performance measurement.

  • Advertising and retargeting (where permitted by law).

  • Fraud detection, account security, and abuse prevention.

3. SHARING YOUR INFORMATION

OMNI does not sell your personal information in the traditional sense. We may share information with:

  • Third-Party Providers: to facilitate ride requests and trip management.

  • Vendors and Service Providers: such as hosting providers, payment processors, analytics vendors, background-check partners, and communication services, under appropriate confidentiality and data-protection obligations.

  • Corporate Affiliates and Sponsors: where your ride is associated with a corporate program, promotion, or special offer.

  • Law Enforcement and Regulators: when required by law, subpoena, or other legal process.

  • Business Transactions: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or part of our business.

Some of these disclosures may be considered “sharing” or “selling” under certain privacy laws, but OMNI does not exchange your data for money in a consumer data brokerage model.

4. TEXAS PRIVACY RIGHTS

If and to the extent the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA) or similar laws apply, Texas residents may have rights to:

  • Confirm and Access the personal data we process about them.

  • Request Deletion of certain personal data, subject to legal and operational exceptions.

  • Correct inaccurate personal data.

  • Opt Out of:

    • targeted advertising,

    • certain profiling, and

    • the sale or sharing of personal data, where applicable.

To exercise these rights, email privacy@ridewithomni.com with sufficient detail to identify your account. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

5. SECURITY MEASURES

We implement commercially reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including:

  • Encryption of data in transit (TLS/SSL) and in appropriate circumstances at rest.

  • Access controls, including role-based and, where appropriate, multi-factor authentication for internal systems.

  • Security monitoring, logging, and periodic security reviews.

  • Incident response processes consistent with applicable Texas data breach notification laws.

No system is perfectly secure. You are responsible for protecting your login credentials and your devices.

6. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

OMNI does not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13.

  • If we become aware that we collected data from a child under 13 without verifiable parental consent, we will delete it.

  • Riders under 18 should only use OMNI with parental or guardian involvement or as part of a program specifically designed and disclosed by OMNI.

7. COOKIES & SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES

We use cookies, SDKs, and similar technologies to:

  • Remember your preferences and login sessions.

  • Improve performance and measure usage.

  • Support advertising and attribution, where permitted.

You can adjust your browser settings to reject cookies, but certain platform features may not function properly without them.

8. DATA RETENTION

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to:

  • Facilitate ride requests and provide the Services.

  • Maintain accurate business and financial records (e.g., up to 7 years for tax and accounting).

  • Resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal obligations.

When data is no longer needed, we will delete, de-identify, or aggregate it where feasible.

9. CROSS-BORDER DATA TRANSFERS

OMNI stores and processes data primarily in the United States. If personal data is transferred to other jurisdictions, we will apply safeguards consistent with applicable U.S. and Texas privacy requirements.

10. THIRD-PARTY LINKS & SERVICES

Our Website and App may contain links to or integrations with third-party sites or services. OMNI is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those third parties. You should review their privacy policies separately.

11. DO NOT TRACK (DNT)

Because no uniform industry standard exists for “Do Not Track” signals, OMNI does not currently respond to DNT browser signals. You can still manage certain tracking preferences through browser or device settings.

12. DISPUTES & COMPLAINTS

If you believe OMNI has not complied with this Policy:

  • Contact us at privacy@ridewithomni.com with “Privacy Concern” in the subject line.

  • We will review and attempt to resolve the issue.

You may also contact relevant Texas authorities if local privacy laws provide that option.

13. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Policy from time to time.

  • We will update the “Last Updated” date when changes are made.

  • For material changes, we may also provide additional notice (for example, in-app or via email).

Your continued use of OMNI Services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.

Omni is a technology and marketing platform, not a rideshare company. All rides are provided by independent commercial insured drivers who operate their own business and coverage. Omni connects you with these drivers and gives you an easy way to book a ride, but we do not provide transportation directly. Trip matters like vehicle condition, cleanliness, or conduct during a ride are the responsibility of the driver. Omni’s role is to offer technology tools and support to make your ride experience simple, fair, and transparent.
